Gaia created these insight meditations specifically for the weekly Zoom meetings called “All Parts Compulsive Eating & Body Image.” that she founded and hosts within the IFS Peer Support Community.
✼ ✼ ✼ At any point while you are practicing these mediations, if they get too intense for you, please make sure that you take care of yourself and pause or stop as needed.
If you try these meditations by yourself and like them, you are invited to join the meetings to practice them with like-minded others. Each of these meditations will be practiced as a group once a month on a regular basis. This meditation is called: “Savoring Glimmers of All the Qualities of Self Energy”
For recognizing and embodying our Self energy’s qualities (The 8Cs + Choice) in relation to food, eating, our bodies, and body image.

This meditation is called “Meeting Our Polarizing Parts at the “Dining Table”
For meeting with our parts involving compulsive eating behaviors, and body-or body image-related behaviors that may be in a “polarization”.

This meditation is called “Getting to Know Our Compulsive-Eating Parts”
For connecting with our protective parts who eat compulsively.

This meditation is called “Getting to Know Our Body-Concerned Parts and Our Body-Image-Concerned Parts”
For connecting with our protective parts who are specifically concerned about our bodies and our body image.

This insight meditation was inspired by The Conference Table insight meditation exercise created by Cece Sykes—a senior trainer at the IFS Institute, who co-wrote the book: Internal Family Systems Therapy for Addictions.

This insight meditation was inspired by Getting to Know a Protector insight meditation exercise in the book No Bad Parts, written by Dr. Richard Schwartz—the creator of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the founder of the IFS Institute.
